Biography
EN Véronique Boyens was born in Belgium in 1979.
She is a multidisciplinary artist making photography and filography.
She describes herself as a storyteller, using either photography and her shape-shifting self as her subject to tell that story, or filophraphy to create hyperrealistic tableaus questioning our perception of the reality and our destiny.
Her photographs were exhibited in New York (Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center), in Paris (Art Paris, The Postal Museum, Orsay Museum, etc.) as well as in Brussels (Pascal Polar Gallery/NKA* Photography).
Her thread sculptures were introduced to the public for the very first time in Paris in June 2023 during the Révélations Biennale at the Grand Palais éphémère.
She currently lives and works in France.

Artiste pluridisciplinaire, elle s’exprime à travers la photographie et la filographie. Elle se décrit comme conteuse utilisant tantôt la photographie et son propre corps pour incarner différents rôles et installer la narration de celles-ci; tantôt la filographie pour dessiner au fil à coudre des tableaux hyperréalistes qui questionnent notre perception de la réalité et notre destinée.
Son travail photographique a été exposé à New York (Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center), à Paris (Art Paris, Le Musée de La Poste, Le Musée d’Orsay, etc.) ainsi qu’à Bruxelles (Pascal Polar Gallery/NKA* Photography).
Ses sculptures de fil ont été présentées pour la toute première fois au public lors de la Biennale Révélations au Grand Palais éphémère à Paris en juin 2023.
Elle vit et travaille actuellement en France.
